Martinborough in a Day - your personal wine tour

Martinborough in a Day is a personalised chauffeur-driven one-day experience of Martinborough, the Southern hemisphere’s only true wine village.

This unique and exclusive wine tour takes you behind the scenes, often where the general public can't access. Your friendly, knowledgeable wine tour host, Jill Fraser, will ensure your day is pleasureable and enlightening.

You will have the opportunity to taste regional cuisine and sample wines; meet local winemakers and growers; and experience the culture of Martinborough including a visit to an olive oil producer.

Tours start at 10.30am and finish at 4.30pm.

being welcomed by one of the region’s well known personalities
learning the history of the town and development of the vineyards
the Grape to Glass tour at Murdoch James Estate
a wine matched lunch in an acclaimed vineyard restaurant
enjoying wine and food with special attention from winemaker and chef

Your tour visits to two flagship wineries, the small winery in Martinborough, and two small family run vineyards for selected wine tastings.

Wind up your day with an enjoyable Tree to Table tour at Olivo Grove. Take a stroll around the grove with the owner. Taste a range of their superb oils. At the end of the tour we guarantee you will know a lot more about Olive Oil and be more discerning in your future purchases of it.

Costs and information about Martinborough in a Day Tour

Your Martinborough in a Day wine tour costs NZ$475 per couple (extra person NZ$225). The cost covers all charges, lunch, coffee and teas.

Tours are not suitable for children under 18 years!

Accommodation is not included in the cost of the tour but we can arrange accommodation if you request it at the time of booking.

We do offer complimentary pick up from Featherston Railway Station, Martinborough or Featherston accommodation and Wharekauhau Lodge. City transfers can be arranged at extra cost.
