Over 25 years in the Martinborough region and involved in the wine industry

The Fraser family have been locals in Martinborough for over 25 years and are very involved in the local wine industry with Jill and her husband Roger owning Murdoch James Estate, a well established vineyard with fine wines sold worldwide.

Martinborough Wine Tours offer an intimate experience with the wine industry. Some of the opportunities that may arise are behind the scenes visits in wineries, hands-on experiences at vintage, tasting back vintages of old wines, and chatting with winemakers and vineyard owners.

Tours can be customised or created to cater for your requirements

Tours can encompass everything from wine and food matching, barrel cave visits, regional driving tours, vineyard walks, winery tours, guided wine appreciation, wine education, to lunch with winemakers and local chefs.

Range of luxury transport options depending on tour size

While up to 12 people can be catered for on our wine tours, we specialise in small tour group numbers of one to six people - giving you a more intimate and personal experience of Martinborough.

For small group numbers, we have a BMW Tourer or a luxury Landrover but are also licensed to carry up to 12 people in our luxury air-conditioned coach. For even larger groups, we can organise more transport or you can provide your own transport.

We also liaise with the train from Wellington to Featherston if that fits in better with your plans, or can organise to pick you up from your accommodation.
