Join our Grape to Glass Tour - a fully hosted vineyard and winery tour which is limited to small numbers to ensure you all have the opportunity to participate, ask questions, and explore the surroundings.

While the Grape to Glass Tour is available as a tour on its own, if you are looking at a more comprehensive tour of the Martinborough region with visits to a variety of wineries and an olive oil producer, you may want to join the Martinborough in a Day wine tour or arrange a customised Martinborough wine tour to suit your requirements.

Following the story of wine from the vineyard to the bottle - grape to glass

The Grape to Glass Tour allows you to follow the story of wine from the vineyard to the winery and barrel caves, and then finally to bottle – tasting as we go.

Whether you are a novice and new to wine, or more experienced and have an appreciation for fine wine, we can cater for your interests - you will find the Grape to Glass Tour informative and fun in a relaxed and friendly environment.

As we are an operating vineyard and winery, booking your wine tour is essential!

Grape to Glass Tour highlights

a walking tour of the vineyard learning how grapes are managed for quality versus quantity
an indepth discussion about terroir and viticultural techniques
a visit to the winery to see the difference between how red and white wines are made
venturing deep downstairs to Martinborough's largest underground barrel caves
learning the importance of barrel aging in producing fine red wines
tasting five premium Martinborough wines through the tour
viewing our historic library of wines that we have kept from our very first vintages

Finally we all return to the cellar door to finish the tastings and you can then purchase wines at special tour prices.

You will be guided either by our winemaker or one of the estate owners - Roger, Carl or Nicola - on the Grape to Glass Tour - giveing you the chance to be let in on the secrets of wine making and wine appreciation.

Costs & information about your Grape to Glass Tour

Tours operate all year round with a starting time of 11.30am. Please allow one hour for the tour duration and bookings are required!

The cost is $35 per person - with a minimum of two people please. Children are half price.

A lovely addition is to enjoy lunch afterwards on the vineyard restaurant deck. (This is not included in the tour.)
