If you are serious about wine this is the tour for you. Visit the best vineyards on and around ‘the golden mile’ on the Martinborough terraces with a selection of boutique and family run to bigger scale cellar doors. We often drive through the neighbouring Te Muna valley, home to the region's largest vineyards.
Enjoy two vineyards in the morning before you stop to relax and enjoy a vineyard platter at one of our vineyard restaurants. In the afternoon you will visit another two vineyards to sample their wine line-ups. Your day is hosted by our knowledgeable, local guides who are proud to show off their town and the vineyards, and always provide light but informative commentary as you travel.
If you have dietary considerations, such as GF, vegan or vegetarian, please do let us know in advance. Our lunch venues can cater for everyone.
The tour price covers everything except additional wine you may want with lunch.
Martinborough is 80 kms from Wellington. If you are travelling from Wellington we suggest you take the morning "Masterton" train from Wellington to Featherston. We pick you up at Featherston Railway Station and have you back there at the end of the tour for the return journey for a small additional charge.
