Martinborough in a Day is a private, chauffeur-driven one-day experience of everything Martinborough, New Zealand's only true wine village, has to offer.‍

All tasting fees are included, as is lunch with wine and dessert, along with pickups and drop offs around Martinborough. Other locations may attract a modest fee - see the drop-down menu when booking online.

This unique and exclusive wine tour takes you behind the scenes, often where the general public can't access. Your friendly, knowledgeable wine tour host, will ensure your day is pleasurable and enlightening.

You will have the opportunity to taste regional cuisine and sample wines, meet local winemakers and growers and experience the culture of Martinborough including a visit to an olive oil producer.

Tours usually start at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm. We are flexible if we need to fit in with railway schedules. Martinborough is 80 kms from Wellington. If you are travelling from Wellington we suggest you take the morning "Masterton" train from Wellington to Featherston. We pick you up at Featherston Railway Station and have you back there at the end of the tour for the return journey.

The tour cost includes everything - vineyard tour, tasting fees, lunch, olive grove tour and taste, local guide and luxury vehicle.

We offer complimentary pick ups from Martinborough and affordable pickups from nearby towns and Featherston Railway Station. Wharekauhau and city transfers can be arranged at extra cost.

Itinerary of your Martinborough Wine Tour

On the the tour you'll learn the history of the town and development of the vineyards along the way. It includes a two-course lunch with a glass of wine and dessert at a vineyard restaurant, and visits to a range of vineyards - from boutique, family owned to some of the region's largest.

The tour can also include:

• A vineyard tour where you have the winemaking process explained and a tasting in the barrel room.
• A beer tasting at the Martinborough Brewery.
• A local gin tasting.
• We can also visit an olive grove. Stroll around the grove with the owner then taste a range of their superb oils. At the end of the tour we guarantee you will know a lot more about olive oil and be more discerning in your future purchases of it.
